It seems like today there are endless "waiting for players to join" in breakthrough, plenty of people waiting, squads fill up instantly, but no rounds starting.
I thought the purpose of the AI bots was to fill up matches that have too few players, so that should not be the problem....

Xbox Series X - US Pacific - Crossplay turned off (causes the issue)
I am unable to get past the WAITING FOR PLAYERS TO JOIN screen. I always seem to be placed/stuck in Assassin Squad. Something that is strange is that when my friend, who also has cross play turned off, is the party lead I am able to play.
If I turn crossplay back on I am able to find a game instantly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and still no change. NAT is open. Cache cleared. 1GB download and 45 GB upload speeds. All tests for multiplayer and network connectivity pass. No issues with any other matchmaking games.
Same here, the game worked ok last Saturday but now I'm just sitting waiting for players ..I have tried every day & not been able to get into a bf2042 game of any kind .. cross-play on or off =same result. I can join portal or gun master & brows the lobbies for them but no luck with bf42 all-out warfare in any mode. PC user west coast USA.

Same. I've tried to get into a match over 250 times. I got nothing.
Finally, I can now play but only with crossplay ON ..>> very strange as it worked before with it off but now its working with crossplay only. 🧙
Cannot find a game without. CRossplay on. Crossplay needs to have an input option, so we controllers play with controllers and mouse/keyboard play with m/k

Map does not start to load, My monitor got inactive !
It seems there is a problem with your player count aka bots , both do not join , and map keeps waiting for players.
have seen this very oftem that a map is stuck and wont load.
I disconnected and got back in main menu.
Again map Manifest starts up and keep in WAITING FOR PLAYERS screen ??!!
Why isnt there a code that put me in a other server with a other map and wont load ,instead of endless loop to connect in the same map that never starts?????
Disconnected again , and YES , kaleidoscope is loading and works.
Ok kaleidoscope map done, game starts up MANIFEST , and yes waiting for players AGAIN !!!
after some minutes all squad players did get out, so i leaved also.
ill wait till game got connected and start next map

Ok masnifest did quit and did go back to main menu it self, reconnecting for a map.
And i dont need to tell ya what map loads again, pffff bad bottle of milk here !!!
This map is broken or the server its running onm is f u c k e d u p, or your bot code for thjis map is screwed !!!!

MAYBE THIS IS A WORKAROUND !!!
If the ya go back automatic to main menu, you need to click at CANCEL, so it does not auto search/connect again.
Then click as fast as possible PLAY again , and it will load an other map , finally !!!
Will update if this is at other maps also.
