Error/Bug - This software cannot be used at the same time as the game
Hello, I'm playing Battlefield 2042 on PC for quite some time without any issue. Last night I have installed the game on my PS5 and played a bit, all was good - but now when I want to play the game ...
So after I asked ChatGPT (yeah, I know), he told me to search for any programs on my PC that comes from Publisher: DiscSoft because that's the error about.
This software cannot be used at the same time as the game. Please make sure it's not running, or restart your PC. (84): DiscSoftLTD
So I've found Daemon Tools and uninstalled it. Now the game works. Also, you have to uninstall ReWASD if you have.
So basically the game or anticheat doesnt like apps coming from that DiscSoft publisher and won't let you start the game. If you have any programs like DAEMON Tools, ReWASD or Astroburn you can't play the game.
This is solved, not a technical solution but a workaround.
