Failed to start the game (2)

@EA_Leeuw ,

I spent 4+ hours with EA Support going through every troubleshooting step possible.. That was the first step and nothing. I only play two games at the moment, BF 2042 and New World. BF2042 is launched through Origin and New World is launched through Steam on separate SSD drives.

Yep good to know i am not alone in my ordeal

@EA_Leeuw . Nope that did not work. I hoe it did. War Thunder also uses EasyAntiCheat and I have no problems with that game.

@GunnyHWY @Vaun2148 thanks for trying either way! This is indeed one of the first steps to check if something could be blocking the game from starting correctly.

Can you both please post a DxDiag?

Strangely enough, both of you seem to experience the exact same error when trying to launch the game: BEX64.

It could also be that this is caused by limited Administrator rights. 

Can you please see if disabling UAC fixes the issue for you?

To disable UAC in Windows 10:

• Type UAC in the search field on your taskbar. (If the search field isn't visible, right-click the Start button and choose Search.)
• Click Change User Account Control Settings in the search results.
• To turn UAC off, drag the slider down to Never notify and click OK.
• You may be prompted to confirm your selection or enter an administrator password.
• Reboot your computer for the change to take effect.

@EA_Leeuw I already have my UAC at that level, it has been that way since i built this PC.
