Failure to Launch BF 2042

I have exercised all solutions in the following links - with no success.

I have also reimaged my machine.

After a few minutes of analysis, the problem was solved. Here are the steps that led to the resolution of the problem :

Uninstall completely EAAntiCheat.GameService via
EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe ->https://cdn.eaanticheat.ac.ea.com/EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe

- Checked and repaired system files via CMD
(always open CMD in Administrator)

sfc /scannow (In first) DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (in seconde after sfc /scannow is finish)

- Checked the VSS (Volume Shadow Copy Service) via CMD

vssadmin list writers

Grant full permissions to all users for the files :
-> C:\Program Files\EA
-> And the folder where the game is located "Battlefield 2042" (may vary)

- Restart your computer.
- Run EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe, click “Install” for Battlefield 2042.
- Then run EADesktop.exe as an administrator (C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop)
- And launch the game

  • EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
  • EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
  • Run the System File Checker tool
  • Change UAC Controls within Windows
  • Reset Windows Host File
  • Unplug your modem/router for 5 minutes and attempt to launch again

    I am having the same issue, tried everything exactly as described above and 2042 still wont launch and says it was an issue on EA side that prevented the game from launching

    Hi there -

    Attached is a new DxDiag - and a legacy one. Might prove to be useful.

    Fault occurs shortly after the loading screen - and the screen that shows at the bottom banner DICE, Ripple Effect, Criterion, Electronic Arts, etc. etc.

  • Hi AnthonyDrrek
    - Could you tell me more about your problem? (The error that appears, the error found in the Windows event log > the application tab, an image...)
    - And send a DxDiag file so we can find some clues based on the errors it contains?

    Press the Windows and R keys at the same time.
    Type DxDiag in the window that appears, then click Save all information and save the file wherever you want.
    Then drag and drop the file here, then click Share - add the .txt file as an attachment.

    Thank you
