[FIX RELEASED] Error 130 - Security violation since update 7.1 on PC

    Hello everyone,

    We appreciate your ongoing reports regarding any EA anticheat issues encountered in Battlefield 2042 following the 7.1 update.

    The EA anticheat teams have informed us that they implemented several fixes last night aimed at resolving many, if not all, of the issues affecting BF2042 on PC and EA anticheat.

    We kindly request you to relaunch the game and check whether you're still encountering the same issues as before.

    Should you encounter any persisting issues with the game and EA anticheat, please attempt to repair the game through the EA app (see hyperlink) or verify the files via your respective game launcher.

    If problems persist, please respond to this thread with the following information:

    What is the exact error message or code that you're getting / How does it behave:

    What Windows version are you using (click here on how to see this):

    Do you play Battlefield 2042 via the EA app, Steam, or Epic: 

    When does the error occur (launching the game, during gameplay, closing the game, etc.):

OK... now it doesn't work again...

And now I've had enough and uninstalled everything.
And everything is reinstalled on C: in just under three hours.
I'll report back then...whether it works or not....

Now let's be honest... it can't be that you get so many problems because of the ANTI cheat program after an UPDATE.
Such problems “used to be solved quickly” in the “CounterStrike" - Times.

I have grown up with the Battlefield family for over 20 years now. What's going on here???


Now iron out your mistakes.

And don't always come up with these ‘children's questions’:

Do you have enough working memory
Do you have admin access
Have you updated AntiCheat ?
Can you create a new Windows admin account?
Can you post your DXDIALOG configuration?
Ohhhhhh ... there are many errors in the AntiCheat programme ....
Ohhhhhh ... can you reinstall the programme with admin rights?

since the first installation 1 year ago?

I actually expect EA Games to finally provide a HOTFIX.

Because the way I see it, the problem with the ANTI Cheat programme is that it can assign the correct paths of the programmes correctly.

The games are installed on C / D / F and your Anti Cheat programme cannot find the paths and therefore it crashes ....

I really do, you're speaking from my soul.

Best thing in the future is just to NEVER PRE-ORDER any EA game to straighten back their priorities towards their community.

I heard they are working on a new Battlefield for 2025/26. So we gotta do the right thing there 😉

Back to topic: My BF is installed in C:\Games\

That EAAntiCheat.Installer.Tool.exe still doesn't find the game each time I want to update it...

And actually I was hoping that with today's Stadium release there would be some hotfix for the anti cheat issue. But my game didn't get any update (yet)

    Erf, coming to see if there is any updates, and still the same... unbelievable with the cost of EA games and in-games stuff that this is issue is still not solved...

    @downek fun thing about how EA execute:
    1. More cheaters appeared after NEW ANTICHEAT released
    2. Normal people can't get into the game
    that's unbelievable
