Recently reinstalled BF2042 and I'm constantly having my CPU max out at 100% then drop down for a few seconds then back to 100%. Its impossible to play. Fresh windows install, Up-to-date on the latest drivers, and nothing running in the background. Only started happing when I came back to BF2042. No prior issues before.
PC specs:
Intel i7 10700K 3.8Ghz
RTX 270 8gb
16gb DDR4 2930 Mhz
Edit: I'm honestly thinking about taking legal action/s at this point. This is ridiculous!

Having the same issue and opened a separate thread about it. Have tried every troubleshooting solution I could find.
Can't believe the thread trail Ive seen from this issue on a $70+ AAA title over a year old.
Happens when you keep updating things and dont do a proper job to make sure everything works with one another.
