Summarize your bug When minimized on Windows 10 using ALT+TAB, game randomly crashes with a blue screen and this error: DirectX function 'GetDeviceRemovedReason' failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET ("The device failed due to a badly formed command. This is a run-time issue; The application should destroy and recreate the device."). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTXC 1660 SUPER", Driver: 52849. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By minimizing the game on Windows 10 and waiting a bit, usually after a few minutes you get a blue screen followed by this error.
What happens when the bug occurs? Blue screen for a couple seconds, then back to Windows with error mentioned above. I can start the game again but only after maybe 10 seconds. If I don't minimize the game and stay in the game, then the game never crashes.
What should be happening instead? Nothing, the game should not crash when minimized.
I just don't play games like most people: I ALT-TAB a lot and it works fine for all games. Even for BF2042 it used to work well! But since a few months ago, maybe around season 3 update or something, this incredibly annoying issue appeared.
I already updated NVIDIA drivers, dirextX is up-to-date, I actually just reinstalled Windows 10 just for this - it didn't help.
Everything is up-to-date on my machine, so I doubt my machine is the problem.

The last NVIDIA drivers update was 2 or 3 days ago and of course I have the last BF2042. Absolutely nothing fixes the problem - it doesn't matter the Nvidia driver version, the BF2042 version or anything else. The bug is internal to the game and it was introduced around season 3.

@zobizoba1 9 out of 10 times hard crashes and bluescreens are either faulty hardware or a bad driver.
You say you installed the NVIDIA latest driver, which is 531.41, but you actually have installed 528.24, which is a few versions ago. Sounds like you may want to check all your drivers.
If you really think it's the game, reinstalling the game would fix it. There is no wide-spread crashing being reported at the moment - i.e. the downloadable game binaries are not faulty.
