Let's take a look and see if we can help stop these crashes you've been seeing. First, have you had the chance to try repairing the game to see if that makes any difference?

If you're running the game in Origin you can repair it by right-clicking on BF2042 in your Library and clicking the Repair option when the menu pops up. If you're using Steam try verifying the integrity of the game files to see if that helps. You can find more info on how to verify the files at the Steam Support website.
