We are seeing positive signs that the reported scenarios of freezing for PC players have now been resolved.
As such, this issue is now classed as being closed.

So I just played 2 rounds with EVGA Precision X on with a little overclock and it did not freeze so I guess that's not the reason.

Summarize your bug This is a new issue that has immediately started to occur once update 2.2 was deployed. Game display will freeze but sound will continue on. Windows will not see this as a not responding application and I am forced to open Task manager and force close BF 2042.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I am not exactly sure how to re-apply this issue. I am playing the game as I always have. I do know this did occur to me on Kaleidoscope twice while within the last two building objectives. But this has also occurred in other maps to me as well.
What happens when the bug occurs? Display will freeze but sound will continue for a few seconds after. After the few seconds Multiplayer sounds will stop(Other Players) but background noises will remain until application is force closed.
What should be happening instead? Run as designed
Currently I do not have a screenshot. I have played this game quite a bit and this issue has never occurred to me before update 2.2. My Drivers are all the same as update 2.1.1.
