Are you using any software with an overlay? No
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Multiplayer
Which part of the mode? Conquest
Please select your region North America
On which server did this happen? GuHEZHFG (Instance)
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 02.02.24 00:14 UTC
Summarize your bug Primary Bug: early in match, game will freeze repeatedly for 1-2 seconds at a time, 2 or 3 times Secondary Bug: after first match, game counts down to start the next match, goes to a black screen and then returns to the main menu. Tertiary Bug: HDR not working properly; brightness / colors are not right. HDR is turned on in Windows 11
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? - Play the game, Conquest Large
What happens when the bug occurs? - Game will freeze for a few seconds, unfreeze, and freeze again 2-3 times total. - After that it seems to be okay For the menu issue, I have to restart the game to play a second match For the HDR issue, no idea what to do
What should be happening instead? Game shouldn't freeze, subsequent matches should load, HDR should work properly

TLDR;

- Games freezes repeatedly early in a match

- The match not loading after countdown is still happening

- HDR is bugged

I list 3 issues b/c they've been going on for a while.  PLEASE look into these if you're not already.  Thank you!

    Any updates here?

    Things I've tried:

    • uninstalling the nVidia driver (via DDU) and doing a clean install.  Doesn't make a difference.
    • Adding a separate PCIE ethernet NIC in case it was due to the in-built intel ethernet NIC.  Doesn't make a difference.
    • Turning off DLSS, turning off Ray Tracing, turning off nVidia reflex.  Doesn't make a difference.

Windows 11 is in game mode.

No matter what, within the first 5 minutes of a match, there will be 5-10 seconds of freezing before the game reverts to playing just fine.  It's driving me crazy.

The only other thing I can think of (and will test for this weekend) is the PBO / CO settings on my ryzen 7900 (65W).  I am running it at 95W TDP settings with individually tested curve optimizer settings.  the result is mostly just longer boosting at 5.5GHz (w/ a +50MHz boost override)  At least in Destiny 2 and Forza Horizon 5, those games are running just fine.

On my Legion 7i laptop (Core i7 12800HX, 32GB DDR5 4800MHz RAM, nVidia RTX 3070ti), no freezing issues.
