Game returning to ea app after launch
So basically any time I try to launch Battlefield 2042 from the ea app, the splash screen appears, but the game crashes and returns to the launcher. No error or anything pops up.
Also, we have one potential cause out of the way, now it's time to rule out another.
Try this , maybe Windows Defender is blocking BF2042.exe (He sees it as an application not in order ) :

Go start & Write regedit (run as administrator) , then in registry go to :
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\AuthRoot
add here dword key DisableRootAutoUpdate & set him on 0

Open PC Settings,
Open Windows Security Settings,
Click on "App & Browser control"
Click on "Exploit protection settings"
Click on "Program settings"
Click on "Add program to customize"
Click on "Choose exact file path"
Navigate to where you have installed Battlefield 2042 and click on the 'BF2042.exe' file,
Click on "Open",
Scroll down to Control Flow guard (CFG),
Click on "Override system settings",
Make sure it is switched to the "Off" position,
Finally click on "Apply".After this all restart PC
