- I didn't see a performance increase with it enabled, they are not real cores anyway... 8 cores is plenty and the higher they can clock, the better the game runs
- The CPU runs higher frequencies with less required voltages (+200MHz with HT off at 1.2Vcore)
- The CPU runs cooler
Suggesting high detail settings is nice, but users need to look for a compromise between the monitor resolution, its refresh rate, (many run 144 or 165Hz monitors) and the performance of their GPU and subsystem.
An RTX 3080 will not do 165fps on HIGH preset at 2560x1440, my RTX 3090 had a rough time to do steady 145fps. 110-120FPS are possible, so the OP should adjust his targets
Anyway the above settings are rock solid on my son's and my setup... no stuttering, no lag , just solid game play.
Wishing this is soon for everybody and that the new patch addresses the high CPU load... that will take at least some pressure away regarding the complaining.
But it will not fix it for everybody. There are way too many badly configured setups out there, Too much hardware/software which is not always fully compatible.
And BF2042 is really taxing on hardware and the stability of the chosen components.
Fingers crossed for next week...
