Graphics settings don't matter?
I just now tried to lower my graphics settings, ultra, high, medium, low. They don't give me an FPS boost. I do have the RTX enabled, but that shouldn't matter a lot, should it? I mean, DLSS and all that... I mean, I even tried to change the DLSS settings, and all that... Nothing seems to help! Did they do it on purpose? Or are they trying to force everybody to get RTX 30 series? Well... Here's my specs:
i7 8700K
32 GB of RAM (I have lots of stuff open in Chrome, so... Just in case, you know)
RTX 2080 by MSI
PSU 850W
As you can see, this rig should handle this game just fine on... ultra? Like, back in time, when I had 4690K and R9 290, I could play BF4 on ultra just fine. Like, yeah, it's been getting hot when I disabled the vsync, but... As soon as I enabled it, I had a stable 60 FPS and not so overheated GPU. Back in time, it was more than enough for me... Now, when I play this Garbagefield 2042, I get... Good if 50 FPS... It sucks that much! And like I said, changing the graphics settings don't seem to help! I bought the game on Steam, but that shouldn't matter. Like, yeah, I have to admit, I have a lot of programs open, but... 99.9999% of other games don't complain, only Garbagefield 2042 does!
Anyways, are there any recommendations on how to increase the FPS? Or at least, stabilize it around 60? I sort of don't want to play it, but... There's simply no good alternative to the franchise!
