Hey I have a workaround.
I have no idea why it works. But it does. No idea what is happening but this is what I do:
When I want to go play BF2042, I have a copy of my PROFSAVE_profile from C:\Users\suken\OneDrive\Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings in another place. I just copy the PROFSAVE_profile to the settings folder, overwrite the original file, start the game and HDR is on. I compare both files, THEY ARE IDENTICAL! BUT IT WORKS! I have to do this every time before I lunch BF2042.
I found this by accident because I was sending my PROFSAVE_profile to my friend who just bought BF2042, then the HDR got broken so I was looking for some solution as I though I changed something wrong and it was my fault.
You're welcome I hope it works for you too.

HDR is still not working. I hope HDR is fixed next week with the new update.

I just cannot believe nobody from DICe is even addressing this problem. Tons of people playing and not saying a word about it. It’s so bad I can’t even play it. Shooting at teammates due to the icon blending in with the sky and my 1300 nit monitor looking dull and crappy. 2042 is the only game with this issue. BFV and BF1 look incredible.
