I'm 100% sure, it looks exactly the same using both methods.
This is an Nvidia driver vs Windows issue !
Need to activate HDR in Windows and then activate HDR Ingame!

You are dead wrong.
Go back and READ the bug report - I am the one that submitted it. I am using an AMD GPU.Fact: HDR broke for both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs immediately after 4.2.0 was released.
I have tried all of the “workarounds” and nothing has worked. HDR was broken with update 4.2.0 and DICE needs to fix this. I am using a 5800x with a 4090 at 4K on the PG27UQ. Every other game is gorgeous looking except for 2042. It’s such a shame that DICE won’t even tell us they are aware of it. Something has to give here. I can’t even play the game it’s so bad. I am constantly shooting at teammates because I can’t even see their names due to massive blown out lighting.
The fact that you assume we don't already have HDR turned on says a lot about you.
I don't use AMD or a TV.
The game is at fault. Everything was 100% fine until 4.2.0 released.- @SubSonix I’m with you buddy. I have tried everything. I did just notice a new Nvidia driver released today and I have a Windows 11 update. Here’s hoping 🤞🏻 (but I doubt it)

Ok so I got a new monitor (PG32UQX) and I noticed when I fired up 2042 my HDR slider was back to normal. Not sure if there was an update or what but it looks pretty good right now. Lmk if it’s working now for u guys.

Nope still not working. The famous dice approach of lets just let it figure it's self out on it's own hasn't worked. Looks like crap still and sliders are all off. Only game to do this. Holding my breath it gets fixed but we all know dice. They can't even microwave popcorn without messing that up let alone an hdr bug that's going on 3 months soon of being broken.
- @megatronrn I’m trying to figure out what the hell happened for it to go back to normal for me. Trust me when I say it is absolutely back to normal. All I did was unplug my old monitor and plugged in a new one. Maybe try unplugging your panel and try again? It sounds dumb but something fixed mine.
- @lex_lutha111384 I tried plugging into a different port on my GPU - no change - HDR is still desaturated and covered in a "grey" haze for me.

In addition, we had some very bad storms recently and lost power multiple times.... EVERYTHING has been shutdown / disconnected.As a reminder - HDR works fine on this monitor in EVERY game except 2042.
HDR used to work in BF2024 UNTIL patch 4.2.0.
This has happened to MULTIPLE people across MULTIPLE makes and models of monitors and has affected BOTH AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.

Check youre ea app for any issues !!! No update for me to update too on both my systems that have this game installed on. Can't force ea app to give me an update. Tried repairing the game. Deleted it and reinstalled it. And then deleted the app and reinstalled it. Hdr is still broken. Have my bf 2042 on 2 different computers and monitor and tv and doesn't work. It's the ONLY game in my library that hdr doesn't work. So again still broken as of 6/23/23. So Dice how long must we wait for an actual fix on this? I'm not the only one that hdr hasn't worked since 4.2.0 dropped. Wake up and do your job for once. It's not that hard. k thanks.

Can anyone figure this out? On my desk I have the PG32UQX and the PG27UQ. I’m comparing them to see if the 32” is worth the upgrade. When I play 2042 on the PG32UQX HDR is amazing. If I switch to the PG27UQ, it has that dim washed out look we are all dealing with. If I start the game on the 32” and put it in windowed mode, and drag the game over to the 27” HDR is perfect. Wtf? I just want 2042 to be able to look that good when the PG32UQX is out of the picture. HDR on all other games works no matter what on both. Just 2042 is giving me this strange issue. So it’s possible to fix this problem but how the hell do we do it? DICE obviously could t give a *. We are on our own. Let’s figure this out. 🫡
