Ok, so I made some progress on my stutters and freezes with my RTX5070. I found where somebody figured out that turning off ambient occlusion and adjusting a couple of other lighting related settings fix it. I am very happy about that. But after testing it for a 3 hour game session in BF2042 I had two hard crashes where the BF2042 just shuts down completely and the EA App stays open. The event viewer shows this:
Hard to read but it says this:
The description for Event ID 1 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
EAAntiCheatService
The game bf2042.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0xC0000005
The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So should I remove and reinstall the EAAnticheat app?
Thanks
