You can try clearing more space by deleting old windows update files, do a google on "how to clear old windows update files". It's perfectly safe, and if you don't clear them out they will run into 10s or 100s Gigs of wasted disk space.

@CPU_UK Thanks. I started with origin telling me I only had half a GB available. I then deleted around 30GB (more space than origin said I needed) of apps and update files... tried again and still only had half a GB available. Feels like it is downloading files and not managing the redundant files as it goes. Gonna bite the bullet and reinstall I guess.

@lzilchetlWait, what? You’re still on Origin? It didn’t force you over to the EA app? Not sure at all but that may have been part of your issue. Origin is way better than the EA App, which isn’t saying much as Origin kind of sucked too, but it hasn’t been updated anymore so maybe isn’t helping.
I just started the update and after first scanning the 180 GB (preparing) it showed an 80 GB then oddly it went to 6.11 GB and that’s all it downloaded.
