Same issue here... I have tried all the "fixes" and band aid solutions to no avail. Running a 13700k and 4080 with 654gb ram, this is the only game I have an issue with everything else plays flawlessly except 2042. Not going to risk my systems health until there's a legit fix if one ever comes, hoping people keep posting here and giving the issue visibility. Sucks I just bought the battle pass and can't even play what a joke.

Good, letting issues like this go for so long is unacceptable. I’ve been playing battlefield since modern combat and honestly this has the be the worst optimized one yet. I saw a bunch of posts dating back to the middle of last year and to see it still unfixed is really disappointing.
The fact that my older PC ran this better with 4 cores and a 1080 TI is just plain sad. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, i requested a refund for the battle pass until they fix things as it’s unplayable for me and i’m not risking new hardware over this.
- 3 years ago@apheli0n_x I'm trying 1 last thing and I'll let you know if it changes anything for me personally.

Tried this to cap out CPU proc, but not sure if it works on a 6/12 w/ max 4 cpu cores allotted.
Also seen some benefit now with utilizing Process Lasso w/ their ProBalance enabled. Actually playable (though it still is high cpu).- 3 years ago
I’m running 16 cores, not sure if i need to tweak the above based on that. I just don’t get how this can be so CPU heavy while my GPU is barely pushing 20% load… i just don’t want to risk new hardware hitting high cpu usage even if my pc can cool it just doesn’t seem right to me.
Thanks for the feedback i’ll give it a shot and let you know if it works for me.
