In-Game chat still visable despite being hiden

Summarize your bug Despite selecting hide in-game chat its still visible
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? play the game on either ps4 or ps5
What happens when the bug occurs? I get fed up and down
What should be happening instead? I shouldnt be able to see the in-game chat at all

The in-game chat for BF2042 is still visible on Playstation 5 despite me selecting hidden in the optiions.

I have cross play enabled

    Same thing is happening to me as well as a friend I play with, both on PS5 both with crossplay enabled. Have Chat on "hide" in the settings yet I'm still able to see it when someone uses it. Just pops up no matter the mode I'm in. Rush, Conquest, Breakthrough, doesn't matter. I'd just toggle it off, but with this bug you're not able to do that. It overrides the Toggle Chat keybind and you're forced to see it on screen until it goes away.

    It's very annoying. I play on PS5 to avoid PC chat since it's rarely constructive and usually just people being rude yet here we are being forced to see it due to a bug.

    I can't believe it's been this long since launch and this is still an issue.
