ive uninstalled reWASD but bf2042 wont open

Problem fixed 

How this randomly popped up on my madden? I dont even have rewasd.

Howdy Folks, 

Game won't launch, error 104, says ReWASD is running at the same time. No it is not. I've uninstalled the program. 

I've tried

1. Stopping the program
2. Force quitting the services associated with it
3. Uninstalling with Revo
4. Searching services.msc for leftover services
5. The EA suggested clean boot
6. Deleting steam download cache
7. Reinstalling the game several times
8. Deleting temp files
9. Verifying file integrity. Always replaces three files but does not solve issue
10. Repairing EA Anti-cheat
11. Asking steam for a refund. Also didn't work. 

At this point my hail Mary is installing a fresh copy of windows on a new drive just to see if it works. That's not really a solution, though. 

Any suggestions beyond that would be appreciated. Thanks!

Updating to say that these things also don't work

• Reinstalling Anti-cheat
• Updating graphics drivers
• Reinstalling windows while keeping the files.

I am pretty much certain the only thing that would work now is a complete fresh install but, you know, it begs the question as to whether this game is actually good enough to necessitate this much work. I can never get back my wasted money but I could at least stop wasting my time. 

PS. EA hasn't even updated their support team with information on their in-house anti-cheat. As far as any of their advisors are aware, they're still using Easy Anti-cheat on BF2042, which hasn't been the case for over a year. I wish to god they were because that software actually functions.  

@TheGoodKingLuc  its possible REWASD (joytokey ect ect) processes keep running/installed at youre system.
Check in Taskmanager if ya can find any of these processes (running).

ps a cleanboot will help ya, disable all processes (not the microsoft processes and EA background + ea ac)

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I had already tired each of those suggestions per my original post. I still don't know what the problem is, but I'm successfully running the game on a different windows install now. It is what it is, I guess.
