I have the same issue. Found 2 other posts with the same kind of issue. It freezes for like 30 seconds to a minute.. then unfreeze then freezes again after a while.
Sometimes Origin doesn't disable its overlay even when you set the settings.
Close origin.
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
Then delete the igo64.dll file.
Then try the game.
