- @Danno_USMC I had tried this previously and tried it again with no luck. Although it is not allowing me to add \bf2042.exe to the allow/block files list with no explanation. I've got it in the the allowed scripts though
I didnt mess with the scripts. on my side of the cloud console you set the path to the .exe in path, then the filename in the filename section. i added the 3 paths and 3 filenames. as soon as i did that, it loaded and played all night. i have been down since that patch too. this is a screenshot of what my Webroot looks like.
regardless of version, the core is still the same with Webroot. Business is cloud maintained and consumer is local. the same logistics is in both. reinstalling Webroot wont fix, i have tried that many times. either uninstall 100% or add the path and file names to the allow list worked from the business side as it should for the consumer too.
- @Danno_USMC Out of curiosity, I went to the Webroot management console instead of the App itself. I don't even have access to that kind of management within it. I can only allow files clientside, not through the Management Console as you can.
Doing the process clientside is different, doesn't work, and hasn't worked since the start of this issue. You're saying it should work based off almost no knowledge of it. I do appreciate that you've included images though, since it allowed me to be 200% sure that I couldn't replicate what you're doing. - DravinClaw5 years agoNew Rookie
I get the same thing I can add it to scripts but for some reason on Block/Allow files it keeps adding a location that doesn't exist anymore. When I uninstalled 2042 to another drive and folder D:\Games
This was the solution given by Webroot.

that is not a solution for today lol.. or even this week 🙂 i have mine working and some others that use cloud control Webroot. i wish luck for the local installers. just play around with the whitelisting thats how i got lucky. i really think its the anti-cheat .exe but i went ahead and did all the .exe / paths. i can confirm 100% that this will fix business webroot versions.
I spent an hour on the phone with support from webroot. He remoted to my computer but ended up saying that I just have to uninstall webroot whenever I want to play until that push an update to everyone
i dont know so much about the consumer version but i dont think this is a script. Also you should add C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 2042 and make sure to add the launcher exe and bf2042 exe files. i added those 2 and the anticheat exe and it is working on business webroot
