I also have this issue, sometimes restarting my PC helps, other times I have to Alt-F4 and then relaunch a couple times to get the game to run correctly.
So far the only thing I can see as an indicator of it failing on that launch seems to be not getting the Season splash screen, and instead it will go to the satellite loading screen/video but will not show that it is connecting to online services. If I get the season splash screen, then I will get the satellite video with it connecting to services after. Very odd issue
