Hey @DaaTECNO,
Thanks for the update & the video, the game indeed seems to be 'stuck' in the taskbar for some reason.
Just a question; what kind of GPU do you have, is this an AMD or Nvidia one?
Nvidia has just released some new drivers that supposedly fixes some issues with the game. Maybe you can try to download/install those? - DaaTECNO4 years agoRising Adventurer@EA_Leeuw I'm using GTX 1660 super , and im using the lastest driver for sure

@DaaTECNO, that's very strange.
Can you try a cleanboot, boot the game, play etc. and see if you can replicate the problem?
https://help.ea.com/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/ - DaaTECNO4 years agoRising Adventurer@EA_Leeuw sorry i just saw it, when i was going to try the cleanboot and hide all microsoft services there was nothing to disable ( all disabled ) so i think i was already done it,
is there any other thing to do ? - EA_Leeuw4 years ago

@DaaTECNO, a clean boot disables more than just some Microsoft services from starting. Did you give it a try in the end? anyone got a fix for this ?
Probably some application is running in "always on top" mode, which means that BF2042 will not be maximized. Try to force BF2042 to boot in Windowed mode (window mode does not hide in the bar).
go to
(...)Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings
Open file in notepad : PROFSAVE_profile
find this commands & set
GstRender.FullscreenEnabled 0
GstRender.FullscreenMode 2GstRender.FullscreenScreen 0
Save all and try open the game.
These commands set BF2042 as Windowed mode (Full screen)
Second method is :
Here's a link on how to do it (based on another EA game, but it's the same for BF2042).

When the game starts, change the graphics option to windowed (FullScreen), after apply, close game and remove the -W ending from the BF2042 shortcut.
