Mouse key bind automatically setting

I am trying to do mouse key binds, however when I try, it keeps automatically putting my key bind to MOUSE 5. I have tried two different mouses and have even tried to key bind a different mouse button and still won't let me. Once this happens it also gets stuck and I have to reset all settings to default. Is there a fix or is anyone experiencing the same issue?

Go to C drive, Users, <user name>, documents, battlefield 2042 and delete everything in there.

@ayeyop22 Hi,
I have exactly the same problem,
I've tried severall things:
Uninstall the game
Reinstall driver for the mouse
With my new mouse and an used one
Disable and uninstall my gamepad (which is not connected)
Disable overlay in app

But the matter is still here... please help!!

Did you close out game and do it?

if that didn’t work, try uninstalling, delete everything in battlefield folder, delete beta folder if you had that, restart cpu and reinstall
It should do the trick, I tried everything yesterday and this is the only solution that fixed jt

was having the same issue, this worked for me when no other fixes/work-arounds would
