Hello. I was using MSI Afterburner and RTSS apps on PC for learning values of my PC hardwares while play BF2042 but after season 6 update it doesn't work so I can't see OSD of MSI Afterburner and RTSS... could you please fix this?
Dear Electronic Arts team,
I would like to ask you to write whether your team is working on solving this problem, which concerns the inability to display the current computer parameters on the screen during the game (such as temperature or CPU load in real time while playing), which is enabled, for example, by MSI software called MSI Afterburner + RivaTuner Statistics Server, if yes, when approximately will this issue be fixed. Currently, in other Battlefield games, displaying selected statistics of computer components works without any problems, only in Battlefield 2042 it does not display them.

For those who have problems with slutering while playing Battlefield 2042, I suggest trying to enter these commands in the BF 2042 console to set the number of cores that the game can use, the following commands are used for this purpose (use ~ to open console):
Thread.ProcessorCount (number of logical cores)
Thread.MaxProcessorCount (number of logical cores)
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount (number of logical cores)
example for I7 8700k :
Thread.ProcessorCount 12
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 12
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 12
You can also enter them in the game launch properties in the EA APP (more here : https://youtu.be/oondxfl-_Jo?si=bvd0LTFN2S8QBDHC&t=48 )
-Thread.ProcessorCount # -Thread.MaxProcessorCount # -Thread.JobThreadPriority # -GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount #
# = write current number
you can also create file user.cfg by notepad in locate folder of ur game (example : I:\Battlefield 2042\) (use option save as and choose all files)
and write there this commands above in file user.cfg.
To limit the maximum number of FPS, you can currently use for example Nvidia Control Panel
(see for details screenshot --> Nvidia Panel.png)
If this helped, please give me XP.
If my English is bad then sorry, this isn't my first language 🙂

Blame the cheaters, it's why EA had to use slash and burn techniques.
- UP_LordPlumber2 years agoSeasoned Ace@AKBLT-1997 You can still you nvidia's and AMD's overlays to monitor vitals. Maybe EA will whitelist RivaTuner
I know but Nvidia's overlay so limited compared to Afterburner this why I really wish they added RivaTuner and MSI Afterburner apps to whitelist.
- UP_LordPlumber2 years agoSeasoned Ace@AKBLT-1997 I'm now curious about what kind of stuff you're monitoring while playing. Just play the game :D Do stress testing in 3DMark/Furmark to see if your system is running ok. Rest can be done in Shadowplay

MSI Afterburner shows stuff like.
CPU Load %
CPU Temp
GPU Load %
GPU Temps
FPS
Frame times
And a whole lot more.
It's a nice tool! Been in Beta for years now though. - UP_LordPlumber2 years agoSeasoned Ace
@sk1lld Hmm Thats exactly what my AMD Adrenaline does. And I don't need another 2 tasks running in the background compared to MSI/Rivatuner. Fascinating.
Nvidia's overlay doesn't show CPU Temp even there's only CPU Usage for CPU related values.
