BF2042 running CPU at 100%

Hey all idk if this is notmal or not. Usually my 5800x3d runs the game at 40% cpu load. Recently past two days or so I noticed it’s been at 100%. I run the game at 4k high settings on my 4070 ti super. Is there a fix for this? I tried to create a “User.cfg” file and add the amount of cores and threads my cpu has, but the EA app says I don’t have permission to save to location. Despite having admin access and everything checked in the security portion of the game properties folder. Any help is much appreciated. Like I said idk if this is normal but up until recently my cpu ran at 40% while I played.
