No audio output using Razer Nari Ultimate
Hi,
I'm having an issue with my Razer nari ultimate headset where I get no audio output while playing Battlefield 2042.
This headset come with two audio output :
-The "game" one which is the one you are supposed to use with any media type like games, it gets the best stereo audio quality and surround THX feature with Razer Synapse.
-The "chat" one that you use as an output with voice app like discord, teamspeak etc. The chat version is mono audio and low quality (basically hand-free AG audio type).
The issue I'm having is that Battlefield audio will simply not work with the "game" mode, and only work with the low bad quality "chat" mode, when selecting the audio output on Windows.
You might think it is a Razer problem, but I have tested using the "game" mode in 8 different games (steam, EA launcher), browser audio (like YouTube, Twitch), and video player on Windows, and all of them worked perfectly fine in both modes. It seem like the issue is only happening with Battlefield 2042.
What I have done to try to resolve the problem so far :
-Reinstalling Razer audio driver (and synapse 3 completely)
-Reinstalling EA launcher
-Messing with Windows audio output/input settings (deactivating unused output, unchecking exclusive box, deactivating the chat mode output...)
-Launching Battlefield in admin mode
-Clearing EA cache, and deleting profile settings in Documents folder
-Messing with all the in-game audio options
-Reinstalling Battlefield 2042
All of those did not solve the problem.
I wonder if anyone else had the same problem with the same headset, or a similar situation when an audio output will not play sound in Battlefield but work fine with other app.
I wanna play the game, but I'm forced to use the low quality mono mode audio because of that issue and it's really bad for a game like Battlefield.
Thanks
(Running on Windows 11, fresh install too)
Well, I guess doing one last check solved it for me.
No shame, turns out that the Windows audio mixer was at volume 0 with Battlefield 2042 app when I was selecting the game mode output (and was at volume 100 with chat mode output thus working).
I simply didn't notice the bar being at zero since I just started using Windows 11.
Make sure to check Windows audio mixer if you don't have audio one day.
