Hi all. I ran into a very annoying problem.My social app tab in the right hand corner of the game screen shows no one friends online even when, they are in fact online. It also shows that I am not online for them.We have the game on steam and also have the EA launcher installed. I've added screenshots taken at the same time to show what it looks like.Solutions we have tried:Restart PCСlear EA launcher cacheReinstall game and EA launcherChecked that the antivirus is not blocking anythingDelete friend and add againLaunch the game directly from the EA launcher (with Steam closed)Update all drivers and system updatesThe only difference is that my friend has windows 11, and I have windows 10.I saw that we are not the only ones with this problem. When we try to add each other through the social tab in Battlefield 2042 by EA ID,the EA launcher overlay opens with the friend's profile and shows that I already have it added.Inside the game, he is still not online.

I have the same problem. Worked under origin app, but not EA. I don't run anti-virus apart from the built in defender.

I just downloaded it with a friend to try and play this "new and improved" battlefield 2042 and to my surprise we cant even play WITH eachother because of some weird issue that EA doesnt even seem to want to address yet alone fix. Pretty silly issue to have in my opinion. All this game has is multiplayer, I cant play with my friends that are on my friends list lol. EA is funny.

And you can now add one more unsatisfied customer to the list. I just launched BF2014 today to try and play it with my son but... Hey! We can't see each other in-game even though we are friends in the EA app and he's online, playing the freaking game right now. Come on EA!

So I have been dealing with an issue for about the past week where my social app tab in the right hand corner of the screen shows no one online even when, be it console friends or pc, they are in fact online. It also shows that I am not online for them. I have checked my status on the origin app, it is not set to invisible. I have updated the launcher to the most recent version, Hell, I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and the launcher itself. The game itself has come a long way and it's been fun to play, but jeez this social experience has been terrible.
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. As I feel like I've tried everything to no avail.

Hi @Impulsivelyy, odd. Do you have any Anti-virus or firewall that could be blocking?

I'm having the same problem I have my friend on ea playing battlefield 2042.
I've looked at battlefield and on firewall and anti-virus it's not being blocked on any of them.
I'm at a loss about this.

Both of us can connect to public servers by choosing game modes "capture", "breakthrough", etc.
And we see other players.
The only problem is that we can't do it together in a party.

I have the same problem. This problem started after installing EA play i had no problems in origin/ battlefield before that. I cant see friends in social tab ingame but my friends can see me. I can play online etc and my friends can join my party. I think this problem has to do with ea play because it reports that there is no connection in the top right. This turns to no connection a few seconds after connecting. To make this point clear: it connects fine (green checker and store promo etc) but after 30 secs it goes to no connection. Sometimes it goes back to connected a few minutes then it says no connection again and repeat.

i have solved this problem: it was spybot search and destroy anitvirus (i uninstalled it)
