It could be a faulty Intel CPU. Intel shipped millions of faulty 13th and 14th gen CPUs.

Maybe running Intel's CPU diagnostic software will turn up something.

More CPU stability tests. Battlefield uses AVX, so it's worth enabling it in some of the CPU stability tests. I hear Prime95 is a good CPU stress test, but I wouldn't run it for hours on end due to how hot the CPU gets.

The crashing could be due to other variables. Such as unstable RAM or simply the game itself causing the crash due to software code errors.
Have your tried disconnecting one of the monitor? Worth a try

I hear what you're saying with regards to a Faulty CPU but surely, this would cause issues with other games and applications. It would not be limited to one particular game all the time. Not unless there was some pretty poor coding in BF2042 that was exceptionally sensitive to such an issue. Ok, this I guess is possible but surely, it would at some point be impacting other titles as well.
Yes, I have tried disconnecting a monitor. In fact, I literally disabled (and physically disconnected) as much hardware in my PC as I could to rule out other factors. Literally leaving me with my primary M2 drive, RAM, GPU, Motherboard, CPU and one Monitor.
Nothing is over-heating. BIOS has been defaulted to optimised settings.
I'll have a look at the other suggesions you've made above (appreciated by the way). CPU Diags, Prime95 etc.
My CPU is still within Warranty so it may just be that I start making some complaints. Not sure how I'll be able to justify it though when they ask me if ALL programs are crashing. I bought the motherboard, CPU and RAM as a bundle from my local computer store (very reputable store) but I suspect they'll want the machine in for a week or two for testing which poses SO many logistical issues so I truly do have to exhaust EVERY option before I go down that route.
Ps, is anyone else seeing a duplicate post of what I posted last night? :/ I'll delete the 2nd one if so.
