Other PC in house playing BF2042 not found in online Friends list 90% of time!!

Question

This game is over a year old and STILL now in February 2024 & still cannot find and display my online friends

I have son in his PC in next room on same local LAN and 90% of the time I see 0 FRIENDS online and he sees 0 FRIENDS online

No matter how many times we both shut down game and restart it!!

And then next day it will randomly see him and me on both machines and we can play together in game.

Even though EA app sees us and the SHIFT-F1 in-game overlay also sees him online and playing the game!!!

It's absolutely infuriating!! It's been going on since game was released!!

Not that anyone here seems to give a * about this... but the solution that we found that more or less works mostly immediately is to actually shut down the EA app as well as the game, and then when EA app restarts, the other PC should see you as online in game when you restart Battlefield.
