Other PC in house playing BF2042 not found in online Friends list 90% of time!!

This game is over a year old and STILL now in February 2024 & still cannot find and display my online friends I have son in his PC in next room on same local LAN and 90% of the time I see 0 FRIENDS ...

Not that anyone here seems to give a * about this... but the solution that we found that more or less works mostly immediately is to actually shut down the EA app as well as the game, and then when EA app restarts, the other PC should see you as online in game when you restart Battlefield.
