ive tried everything to get bf2042 to launch my pc is ryzen 7 2700x with a rtx 3070 and with 32 gigs of ram and ive so far tried everything to the point of reinstalling and with to no help so if a dev can help or anyone had found a fix please let me know ive only got 2 hours and most the 2 hours have been dealing with black screen and i had the game for 6 months and never really played it till now so refund is out of the question and my operating system is also windows 11 home ive went threw form after forms with big list of what to try and nothing works so im having a thought if it being on steam is giving me problems when it try's to go threw origin to do what ever but i own it on steam also battlefield 5 opens just fine no issues at all and that's on origin and i don't really want to spend to buy the game again just to see if it works.

Hey @DJTRAVGAMING,Unfortunately, Windows 11 is not officially supported by Origin or Battlefield 2042.The Minimum and Recommended OS is Windows 10: https://www.origin.com/store/battlefield/battlefield-2042#store-page-section-requirements. Therefore, it could very well be the case that due to the PC having Windows 11 installed, you're experiencing more issues that you would like.When the game worked before, were you also running Windows 11, or Windows 10?I would also like to request a DxDiag, if possible: https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/.

so i let the black screen set for 30 mins and it started to chug and i eventually got in the game but as of right now networking be extremally slow and forever to get into a match

Runs like a charm on Windows 11 here...Some Steam users reported to close Steam after the game started... it seems to eat up a lot of resources.Your issue seems like the graphics driver is crashing, did you update the bios of your motherboard to support Windows 11?

yes i make sure everything is updated windows updates to all the firmware on my computer everything works fine just not bf2042 its the craziest thing to only game out of my 200 different games and this the one i cant play having to wait 30 mins just for it to load into the menu and extremely slow network performance of loading into a match i mean by the time i ever load in the game is about over witch is annoying because i have fiber internet to so something wrong somewhere

so i figured out my issue my steam version of the game is broken compleatly to the point it dont work anymore so when i went to ea play downloaded the 10 hour trial it works compleatly fine now so i guess im stuck having to buy the game again witch really sucks somthing with the steam version just dont work anymore for me

Unfortunately, Windows 11 is not officially supported by Origin or Battlefield 2042.

So when you play the game via Origin/EA app, it works without issues? But when you want to play the game, the purchased version, via Steam, you get these issues? Hmm, that is indeed pretty odd.

Steam is just a launcher, like Origin, and it shouldn't make a difference in game performance. It could be that Steam is actually the issue here though.

How exactly have you installed Steam and the game via Steam? Both on the same drive?
And what about Origin?

so when i told my friends about it they where extremely surprised to and yes ive tried both the game on the same drive as steam and even on different drives to no difference the game dose not error out or give me any hint of what's making it do it ive even reinstalled steam completely and still dose the same thing if i stay clicked on the black screen with out clicking off it and just let it sit for 30 mins and it will eventually open so im able to play but it should never take 30 mins for a game to open and even on top of it when i get it to work networking is so bad on it that it takes 10 to 15 mins to get into a game and alot of the times ive gotten in a match when its just ending witch is super annoying and when i play the trial version strait off origin i get into a match immediately and the game works like any other game should and even origin is on the same drive as everything else to

@DJTRAVGAMING, yeah it is indeed an odd situation.

Have you tried to perform a clean boot already, to see if that has the same issue?

yep that was one of the steps i found for how to fix black screen ive tried that and nothing. Now i don't know if i can do this but is there a way i can somehow get my copy of bf2042 transfers from steam edition to origin steam dont have a cd key at all so i dont have to re buy it.

@DJTRAVGAMING, no, it's unfortunately not possible to transfer a Steam purchase over to Origin, I am afraid.

The issue itself is indeed odd. I will see if someone from the team might know what could be causing this.

Will you also maybe be able to add a DxDiag to your message, please?
