The patch for battlefield 2042 came out. Played for 30 minutes, no crashes now it seems. It used to fly out within 2-5 minutes. The latest Nvidia drivers.

Can you do a quick test for me put all graphic settings to ultra except terrain and see if the same crash keeps happening.

@EA_Atic Yes can confirm having terrain set to High prevents the crashes. All other settings are fine at ultra!

9900k 32gig ram rtx4080 all settings to ultra but terrain, low all was good, medium was all good, high even worked for me but as soon as i put terrain on ultra, it crashed right there with the error. and that was with fov maxed out

@EA_AticTested on two pcs with different builds, all things else on ultra. Crash doesn't occur as long as terrain is on not on ultra. I haven't had any other crashes since.
Will do further tests with Windows 11 and 4090 etc to see if new hardware changes it happening on ultra. I do have a new different bug to google that appears to be caused by geforce experience, where a sudden alt tab out caused in game screen to go black with HUD still visible, fixed by changing camera view and then back again.- EA_Atic3 years ago

Tested for a few hours now on a totally new build, Windows 11 latest updates, latest drivers, with an Asus tuf 4090, 13700k, Asus Z790 Apex, with all settings on ultra including rtx, even while running nvidia overlay as well - though I do have origin in game off.
No longer crashing with terrain on ultra.
Will have to run the test again on the other PCs.
