Yeah, same issue here, for reference these are all the steps I have done to try and solve the issue:
- Restarted all network devices.
- Attempted to see if I had packet loss or odd latency to several servers located in the US. (L.A., Dallas, Huston, Chicago, Newyork)
- All results are pings within expected milliseconds.
- No packet loss
- Attempted traceroutes to the same servers.
- No ISP loops to the data centres
- No failed routes
- Verified all network and video drivers were up to date.
- Disabled all firewalls on the device.
- Changed my DSN servers to multiple providers.
- Google: 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4
- OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220
- Cloudflare: 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1
- Verified no ports from the following list were blocked.
- purevpn.com/port-forwarding/battlefield-2042
- Utilizing the same port information set up forwarding for all ports on my network.
- Disabled all other start-up services on the device.
- Attempted a game session using safe mode with networking.
- Played other games, including Battlefield V and 1, to see if I experienced packet loss
- No network issues were detected on servers with acceptable ping 32ms-100ms
Seems that his has to be a netcode issue on Dice's end and is making progress in the game hard cause I can't get the kills to get the gun upgrade you would normally get in all-out warfare. I am lucky that I have friends that don't mind playing Hazard Zone with me, so I can kinda still play, but it seems that any game with over 64 players for me has massive packet loss and rubberbanding. I don't remember having this issue in the Beta so I was not expecting something this back when preordering the game.
