This started happening to me, i remembered i had a backup of my profsave and profsave_profile files.
I cancelled the tutorial. Copy and replaced my profsave files. When i went back into the game it started normally.
So you could try keeping a separate copy of the profsave files that has your desired settings saved, copy and replace it to see if it works because as soon as the tutorial starts it overwrites the current profsaves.

@CRV3N @Sulaiman-178 from what we are seeing is that google drive or One drive, Firewall, Anti-virus and Permission issues with windows blocking 2042 from saving in the document folder.
/Atic- 5 years ago@EA_Atic Please pardon me but those seems like assumptions that draws away from the main issue; which is within the game itself since this happens only with Battlefield 2042, no other game suffers from this including other Battlefield games.
Please escalate it to solve it as it honestly ruins the whole experience and I'm starting to avoid launching the game in fear of being greeted like it is my first time playing it and having to set everything up again and again.

Just happened to me AGAIN today... and no, the game did NOT crash before that.
It just happens randomly and probably is some bug when syncing local game data with server.
I use the new "EA Desktop" app to launch the game but I guess it does not matter since most people use Origin and still have this problem.
Funny thing is, BFV writes the same files to Documents folder and NEVER EVER reset its settings so NO IT IS AGAIN YET ANOTHER ANNOYING 2042 BUG DICE!!!
