Unfortunately, with the update, it has gotten worse. The game is now virtually unplayable no matter what part of the map I'm on. Before the 3.1 update I could at least snipe from the outskirts, now I can't even do that. I experience packet loss. . . High TN. . . Whatever the problem is, as soon as I spawn anywhere on the field.
And... Now it affects my Solo/Co-op matches, so I can't even play the game "offline."
If it helps troubleshoot, the game is indeed maxing out my CPU...
I'm trying really hard to be patient. But after losing nearly 3 weeks of play time on a season pass that I paid for, on a game (which I also obviously paid for) that I thoroughly enjoyed, it's getting difficult to not get frustrated. ☹️
Also. I don't understand how playing a few rounds helps things, could you please explain the technical aspects of that? Because, if you knew you insufferable it was to play right now, you wouldn't want to play for 20 minutes.
I'm really sorry if I'm coming off as harsh, but I just want to play the game.

@EA_Atic In regards to the icons, gotcha. That's what everyone told me they were, so that's what I assumed they were, but an unstable FPS sounds more reasonable.
My CPU: 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11260H @ 2.60GHz (12 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
I've also reattached a copy of dxdiag

@EA_Atic Tested today with the 3.1.2 update. Problem continues to occur. Very disappointed.

I have the same problem, I can't even record the screen in the game, so I can only take screenshots, first of all, I can guarantee that my computer configuration, network has no problems, I swear, I have tried many methods, whether it is The methods on Google, or the methods of people here, still can't play normally. After I bought this game from the third season, I can't play every game normally, every game! I haven't had the same issue with any other Battlefield series, ever! Only Battlefield 2042 has this problem, I love this game but I can't play it properly!

Hi everyone,
With the release of Update 3.2, which was released today (31 Jan. 2023, 9 am UTC), are you still experiencing this issue or do you notice any improvements?
Thanks.

when will this be fixed? everything is the same, and this is how it happens with a lot of players
- 3 years ago
This happens every time with 128 players

Played for 2 hours after the newest update, and the game seems to run perfectly fine now. Cheers

You schould try this :
I have a Ryzen 7 3800X CPU (8 cores, 16 threads) so I set the file like that :
...6
...6
...0
...0
...16
and it works almost perfectly for me : 60/80% CPU usage instead of 100% and almost all TN desapear along with the lag/bugs it induced.
You might need to try different numbers to find the best settings depending of your CPU.
I tried it once with other settings and thought the solution didn't work because I tried wrong numbers.

I have tested all combinations of numbers and Nothing has changed, I've had enough, I won't be playing this game again, I'm tired, have fun.
- 2 years ago@PHounet I also started experimenting with cfg. But while I was working with this, I visited my parents in another house, and there the connection goes over the wire up to 100 Mbps of Internet, the TN value began to appear less often, I tried to get into the thick of things and really TN arose minimally. At home, where I live, the WiFi connection is 5 GHz with a speed of 870 Mbps, and up to 3.0 I felt great, and then the problems with TN started. I'll try your cfg settings, but I have a feeling that Wi-Fi is to blame, although its speed is excellent.
- 2 years ago@zhenka002 You're welcome, I was afraid it has a thing to do with my internet too and it would be nothing to do but luckily it was "only" an hardware/software problem.

After trying all the tips on the forum (cfg file, clean boot, disabling antivirus, using a VPN etc...) I finally found a solution that removed the time nudge problem.
My problem was the easy anti-cheat!
I played 3 games with 128 players without losing any packets
Here is the method I used :
1) Close Battlefield and Origin or EA App.
2) Delete this:
-Folder %appdata%/EasyAntiCheat
-Folder EasyAntiCheat in game folder
-File BF2042_launcher.exe
3) Run Origin/EA App and repair Battlefield.
4) Run EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe from Game_Folder/EasyAntiCheat/
and Repair (I don't know if it is useful but it doesn't cost anything)After I don't know if this solution is temporary (return of the bug at the next restart/update of the game) if the bug returns I will edit the topic

Well... beginning of the season 4 and return of the TN bug...
I tried to redo the trick and it doesn't work anymore ....
I tested my packet loss on line on https://packetlosstest.com/ and the results are good whatever the configuration (about 25ms) we are far from the 650ms that I have on the 128 players maps...
I give up, I tested all the possible tricks and there is nothing that works... I will test again with the next update but I don't have much hope for this game...
Good luck to those who will try to make this game work

Hey all,
To keep everything organized, I'm closing this topic because Season 3 has ended.
If you experience the same problem in Season 4, it is recommended that you create a new topic for it.
Feel free to link this thread if needed.
Thank you!
