[PS4] Troubling input lag still present with update

Since launch on PS4 the game has been difficult to play, as there are some serious latency/input-delay issues. I was hoping the previous update would fix them, but still they persist.

The aim feels floaty and weird, and firing is delayed by a few milliseconds. It's as if there are deadzones on all of my triggers and sticks (Yes, I have tried turning off deadzones in settings to no avail). This makes it impossible to be precise and remain competitive. Trigger delay especially makes things like tap firing unfeasible.

I have tried power cycling, as well as reinstalling. Seems to be a performance/optimization flaw. When I switch to previous BF games or other shooters, the aim is snappy and responsive, so I know it is not my controller.

  • Minecraft has better performance on PS4 than BATTLEFIELD 2042. In OLD Gen it is the biggest humiliation that can be done.

@magomax2010 @avik2k What version of PS4 do you play Battlefield 2042 on?

I mean, it's Minecraft. It can run on most devices, not as ridiculous as OG Doom but it's up there.

  • on a PS4 slim and since patch 4.0 the game on PS4 is broken, the LAG makes it unplayable, the game doesn't run stable the patch broke something
  • I have tried everything and the problem is patch 4.0, before the patch it played fine. I feel robbed and humiliated by EA and DICE. I'm going to open a new topic so as not to disturb the colleague who opened the topic
