PS5 - Can't join friends also on PS5
A buddy and I used to play together on PS4 & PS5 more recently mainly Battlefield 5. The game would let us join each other, regardless of who logged on first. Since we got BF 2042 we have played co-operatively successfully 2-3 times and usually end up chatting, but playing different games, because it just won't let us play together anymore. We both have PS5's, have PS5 versions of the game and live in the same town. We've both got great internet connections and as I said it worked flawlessly on BFV. Are we the only ones having this problem? I looked on the forums and I can't see anyone else complaining about this.
We've tried to invite each other and try to create a party and when one of us invites the other we see the invite and try to join, but that is where it fails. Unfortunately I don't have many friends that game (being in my 50's) so I can't tell if this is just a problem between us. Oh and we both switched off cross platform as we got tired of being thrashed by PC's.
