Preordered on day one from PS Store, played the openbeta (closed beta was cancelled on PS5...).The countdown is still at 00:00:00 (was like this all week from what I have seen) with an unlock date of october 20th (?!?!) and I still cannot download the game.

I should be able to preload my copy of BF2042 by now, as all my friends have been able to, but on my Playstation it shows a countdown timer at 0:00:00 and a release date for Oct 20, but no download option. When I go to the PS Store, it seems to say that I don't own BF2042, but I also can't buy it because I already own it...

I have this too but i was playing the ea play 10 trial and purchased the standard edition on ps store so i wonder whether it has messed my pre order up. Either way I have the same issue as you in terms of it saying 00:00:00 and pre order on 20th

I just asked Sony. They told me that all users with the pre-ordered standard edition have the download issue.
They told me that it might be a server issue due to the number of download requests.
But they are still investigating that issue.

Hey @atomike84,

Can you check if you can force the download via the PS Mobile app?

Turn on your console > Download the PS Mobile app for your iOS or Android device > Sign into the app > search for your purchase of the game in the store via the app > it should say that you have purchased the game > there should be an option to push/force download the game to the console.

If this is not the case, from previous player issues it could be something related to your order on the PlayStation side of things. Unfortunately we can not check this as we do not have access to their systems. In that case you can check if you can reach out to them via https://www.playstation.com/support/.

@atomike84, yeah then it seems like it has something to do with your order over at PSN.
Can you check: when you are on the screen that says 00:00:00 > select/click on the circle with the 3 dots > view Product > can you install it from there or does it say that you need to purchase it again?

@EA_Leeuw It's like I never purchased it and I click on view product. I bought it on June 9th, went on my credit card then and even shows up on my library.

@EA_Leeuw Another thing, on the playstation website (not the app), it only shows I have the "Pre order pack".

@atomike84, in that case, there is indeed something not right with your order that you placed with PlayStation. I recommend reaching out to them to see if they can take a look at your PSN Order history.
