Radeon VII - Some Sundance skins crash the game when on screen

Summarize your bug When you have a Radeon VII graphics card and the specialist Sundance is on the screen in default skin (close up), such as when you are playing Sundance and you die, the game crashes.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. use Radeon VII graphics card (any driver, tested all recent including 21.12.1) 2. play sundance in default skin 3. die
What happens when the bug occurs? Game crashes when Sundance is on the screen
What should be happening instead? Game doesn't crash when Sundance is on the screen

As above, game crashes when Sundance is on the screen close up in default skin and you have Radeon VII graphics card. This may also affect some other skins, but I am unable to test because I am unable to play to unlock them...

DICE, I'm a software engineer so let me know if you need any logs or specifics for debugging this. I know this GPU is hard to obtain.

Oddly, the STORMBREAKER SKIN IS NOT AFFECTED. DICE Please disable all skins except this one as a temporary workaround considering there will be no more updates for the rest of the year.

Hey @LlamaWithKatana and everyone,

Today we shared the patch notes of our upcoming patch 3.2.
This patch should address the issue -

Fixed a rendering related crash that could occur for AMD Radeon VII users while Sundance was visible on screen.

Once the patch is live, I would love to hear if the issue is resolved for AMD Radeon VII users.

Regarding other crash reports on AMD cards in this thread, please keep sharing any related information about the issues and I will take a look. I am interested to know if you see the crashes frequently when doing a specific action.

No, it is not. I've tried underclocking / undervolting and it might add a few minutes to the gameplay, but still crashes. I've ran a performance log, and there weren't any spikes in power, but you can see the exact moment it crashed because the utilization of the cpu/gpu drop down to the standard system idle

@JoeSMASHHTry 2100MHz on core and reset all other clock and voltage modifications, just stock voltage.

Just attempted to play at 2100, made it about 5 minutes into gameplay, then boom, directx hung

@JoeSMASHH how odd, maybe a different issue, tried running some thorough stability tests on your CPU/RAM/vram/GPU core?

@ryannathans When I built the computer, I was sure to run some stress tests and such to be sure everything was working up to specification. Every other game/application that I use, all run with no issues at the highest settings (COD, flight sim, VR, photoshop, illustrator, after-effects, Solidworks, etc.) So, I'm at a loss for words why I'm getting this issue.

Today I did finally get the opportunity to send an error report to AMD, so I'm praying that I can get a solution from somewhere. When I do get the chance to play, it's a very fun game.

@ryannathans Okay, so after some more playing around, not sure where I saw this suggestion, but it said to put the core clock at 1400MHz - still endured the error, but once I put the graphic settings within the game to medium, boom. I'm now able to not only finish a game BUT I can play a few in a row. I don't like the idea of having to underclock every time I want to play this game, but I'll just do this until some sort of fix comes. I really want to see this game at ultra-settings!!!
