Re: Directx Error (CreatedCommitResource),(Invalid was passed to returning fucntion)

Adding onto my post. For me this solved it.

I ended up getting a 6700XT in replace of my 1070.  However I still encountered the same issue as before, but was able to ultimately solve it.  I did a clean windows install, which helped me actually be able to open the game this time, but I still kept getting a DX12 error before I could play.

My solution was down clocking my ram.  Running 32gb 3200mhz originally, which has been mostly stable across normal uses.  I dropped it from 3200-3122mhz (or whatever the next step down was) and have only had one DX12 error since then and have been able to play normally and reliably.

Also, just for info, I was having the same issue with Halo Infinite, down clocking my RAM to something more stable also resolved this issue with that game as well.

Current specs:

CPU: Ryzen 1800x

GPU: 6700XT Saphire Nitro

RAM: 32Gb

@QuantumOmega Did it work after few hours ? Did you have a crash ? I should try to downgrade or disable XMP profile 3000hz for my RAM

    *GAME NOW WORKING*

I upgraded my previous Windows 10 v1903 to v20H2 and the game is able to now get past the ship loading scene. I've played a few minutes and no crashes so far. Guess time will tell. * played for a couple hours now and no crash so I think this is fixed for me.

Glad the COMMUNITY was able to help me troubleshoot the issue with no help from EA.

I probably managed to get all the DirectX errors that are, so it makes no difference to me which forum thread to check

Maybe if you checked the right one, you'd have a better chance at finding a solution. I dunno.

I was fianlly able to play entire matches last Friday, after not being able to play at all during the Early Access week because I would instantly have DirectX errors. Now, after no changes, I am back to having instant DirectX errors. What changed? I have no idea, but now I can't play again.

Same here. Got them every now and then during early access. But no crashes after final release last friday. And today (thursday) after patch(es) the crashes are back!

Not sure if you guys have Rivatuner (comes with MSI Afterburner) installed?
I found this info (by @Punterooo) regarding DX12 crashes in BF 1 in 2016. I just uninstalled Rivatuner and edited as below in config. Let's see if it helps.

    "

OK, I've found the solution for me. All I had to do is disable RivaTunerStatistics Server which comes with MSI Afterburner. To do that the "nice" way you need to go to your MSI Afterburner installation directory, open MSIAfterburner.cfg with any text editor and find "EnableServer" string, then set its value to 0. For some reason after the recent update BF1 conflicts with this tool in DX12 mode.

No more crashes for me. Hope this helps someone!"
