Hi, Hereby a video of the error. Flashes and colored dots.
I've uploaded the video:
I've used multiple screens (TV Phillips, monitor SamSung 4k and monitor Acer HD) and different HDMI-cables to test Battlefield 2042 XS. All with the same problem...
The Battlefield Xbox One editions works fine.
Also other games work perfect.
Hope that you can help me out.

@baz-e-baz Thanks for the video, to check have you tried the following?
- Clear Persistent Storage
- Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray
- Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage
- Clear Alternate Mac:
- Go to settings > Select General > Then Network settings
- Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear
- Select restart
- Delete local save
- Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select My games & apps.
- Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game & add-ons.
- In the menu on the left side of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, then highlight the saved data for your gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.
- You'll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data:
- Delete from console removes the local copy of this save. You can get it from the cloud the next time you play.
- Delete everywhere removes your saved data from this console, the cloud, and all other consoles you play on.
- Cancel leaves your data intact.
- Clear Persistent Storage
- @EA_Illium Thanks for your help, unfortunately it didn’t work. I’ve tried all three options.

@baz-e-baz Wanted to see if you had a second to play after Patch #2 to see how the game has been? Hi there,
In the meantime i've bought a 4k 144hzh 43inch screen, but that didn't matter for the game. Still the same problem. Flickering and dots in gameplay and not in the menu's of BF2042. The white flickering is worse in light environments like the ice map. inside dark buildings only the colored dots show. When i change the setting to colorblind modus the dots will change color...
The Xbox series X stood on automatic updates for games. But i didn't notice any update or patch installed. So i've rebooted the Xbox with factory settings today, set the automatic updates for games to manual and installed BF2042. But then still no update, or is the update in the direct download?
My version, of Battlefield 2042 installed today is 1.0.71.11079. Is this the latest version with the patch #3 included?
Thanks for helping me out.
Greetings,
BasHi,
Still the same problem. Last week i bought a new gaming monitor 4k 144hz, but still the same problems.
Flickering screen in light environments is much more worse then darker environments. The dots change color when i select color blind modus...
I was not aware when the game had an update, my xbox series x updates games automatically. So i've deleted the game, reset the Xbox software to factory settings, changed the option to manually update the game and installed the game. Does this download automatically has the latest patch? The version number of my Battlefield version is 1.0.71.11079.
When i open the setting in the Game it says version 0.3.0 | Code 12,954,202 | Data 4,664,135.
What's next?
Hope you can help me out here.

@baz-e-baz If you deleted the game and installed it after Patch 3 came out, you should be getting the latest version of 2042, sharing this with the team. Ok, if you need another video then please let me know.
Any news? This couldn't be true with this set of Xbox series X and an expensive 4k 144 hz monitor and still no Battlefield 2042 to play... is there any way to get this solved? Maybe a disc version of the game? Hope you can help me out now...
- @baz-e-baz I think your Series X may be defective. As it sounds like a problem with gpu when under load, hence no problem in menus etc. How about other heavy running games ?
- @L3BRACON thanks for the info. No problems with other heavy running games like FarCry6, Halo Infinite, COD Vanguard, Flightsimulator, etc. And strange that the white flashing is only in light external areas. No flashing in dark areas or within buildings. The colored dots in light and dark areas are continious.
I have also been experiencing the same issue. I have read through the threads and followed the steps, however I’m still having issues. Any ideas?
Still no solution here. Never played this game. Thrown away money! I’ve bought series X and monitor for this game. All other next gen games work perfectly. If you have found the solution then please let me know
