@EA_Atic I looked at the guide and this is what applies to me.
1. I am using a wired connection. (Meaning 3 is Not Applicable)
2. I cannot move the router as I am using college internet
As for speeds, I am getting just under 940mbps down, and just above 770 mbps up.
Also, while i was waiting, i was finally able to get into a Portal match, but I do not know how this happened, since I had the same problems a few hours later.
Oooookkkk so the only time my firewall has even ticked is when I first installed the game, asking for network permissions. I just checked the list of allowed apps and 2042 is on there FOUR times. And they are pairs of these pathways linked
I have done that at least half a dozen times at this point.
Oh wow, turns out my driver wasn't updated and it came in last Tuesday. Updated and still nothing. I am on Windows 11 Home Version 22H2

NETWORK RESET
Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD, Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
copy and paste the following commands by pressing enter at the end of each command line:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
netsh advfirewall reset
netsh winhttp reset proxy
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
Reboot youre system and test game.
ps every app you start and who needs internet could ask for firewall acces, if so then choose PUBLIC ACCES
So i did just that, and still no improvement.
If nothing else, i can get into portal matches easier.
If you are talking about which options I selected when Windows Firewall popped up, I selected both, since i'm a college student, and the internet at college is password protected, It's given out to anyone on campus who needs it.
