screen freezes in menu screens

Happens after yesterday's update to Season 4 on PC.

The screen freezes in different menus in the game. In all kinds of main menus and also inside a multiplayer round when selecting where to respwawn. The screen freezes. I can still hear sounds and when I move the mouse cursor, I hear the feedback-sounds from the different items the mouse moves over. I can also click on items. So basically everything continues to work, just the visual representation on the screen is stuck. When I tab out (to Windows desktop) and tab in to Battlefield again - it works again. Sometimes for only 10 seconds until the screen is stuck again (only after I click on something) and sometimes it works for longer. It never happens when playing after I spawned - only when I am selecting (clicking on) something in a menu.

What I tried to so far:

- Newest drivers

- Clear the cache folder

- Repair BF Installation in EA App

- Restart PC

- run C++ runtimes

- Disable fullscreen optimization and enable "Run as admin" in bf.exe

- Re-install the game completely

- Borderless / Fullscreen in settings does not make a difference

  • Am I really the only one with this problem? What about the person who clicked on "I have the same problem" - can you add something from your end?

Any software running in the background ?
Try a cleanboot to see if there is any software (overlays , 😇rgb software ect ect ect) is causing stutter issues !

    Cleanboot / Msconfig

reboot pc by a clean boot:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd
Hide all Microsoft services, DISABLE (uncheck) ALL other processes, apps and services !

Cleanboot is just a one time clean boot ! Next reboot all will be reset and a normal boot will be occure.
Use msconfig to disable apps permanent each for new reboot.
    - In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
    - On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
    - On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
    - Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
    - Close Task Manager.
    - On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

    Test game

    Update us please!

Seems to be related to "Enhanced Sync" in AMD driver. When I disable it, the problem is not there anymore.

It worked before since release (I enable Enhanced Sync for all games - never had a problem).
Since Season 4 Update February 28 there is this problem.

--> So it is definitely because of the Update (same driver and settings worked before the update).

Yes. I updated to driver 23.2.2 February 17 (when it was released) and played without problems afterwards. So my system configuration did not change when the BF update was released February 28.

So something has changed with the BF update causing the problem.

    W11 fully updated

Using only 1 overlay app and its RTSS with afterburner

    Apps running in the background:

Issue started happening after the last update so i doubt its caused by me
