Let me start on how discussed I am with this update. Not only is it abhorrent, but it is also discriminatory.
80 - 90 % of the players in this game are not only genuine, but don't deserve to be treated in this way where they can't play the game that they love.
As a large Company such as yours, you should listen to your constituent. It's a bit like Politics, you don't listen the we LEAVE!
Remove the update 8.8.0 so everyone can enjoy the game, not be excluded from the game.
I have always been a purchaser of EA Games, but if I can't get into a game I enjoy, then I will ban EA Games from my purchases.
I ask all followers on this Forum to also commit in doing the same until we get back the game we love.

Why and what are defending exactly?
Clearly there are issues, and players who bought and paid for a game cannot play it anymore because of these issues.
Maybe you are not affected by the issue, good for you. But this does not mean it's the same for everyone.
Yes, we are a lot who are not able to play a game we bought because of stupid calls EA made.Your technical theories won't solve the problem. A game was working fine until the last update. Something went wrong and it is not about Win 10 and win 11 and bios nonsense. It's about EA 's disrespectful behavior towards its community.

How does answering to your wishes is being disrespectful towards the community? All you here complain about cheaters and demand EA to do something about it. There you go this is the way cheaters get their way in and EA retaliated. Exactly like you asked for. Nothing to cry here anymore.

Can I ask what's the reason you can't play after update? Only thing I can think of is you having more then 13 years old motherboard that doesn't support Secure Boot?

EA retaliated against its legitimate players. Everyone reporting that cheaters are all over the place.
Fighting cheaters should not lead to preventing legitimate players from playing the game.
I know EA intents are good. But this is not the way. The update made the game broken for a lot. How can you call this a fix or a solution? When EA receives this many complaints about the game not working, then it's only natural that they should rollback and think of another way to fight cheaters. Otherwise they will be losing more players and more importantly: losing trust.
I would not buy another BF game if BF 2042 is not fixed. And I know I'm not the only one.
It is only INAPPROPRIATE to break a game.

Ah yes, its just so ethical to ask those of us who haven't clue how to reset or use BIOS to take our systems to a professional. don't remember that little gem being included in the game price

How can EA choose what way cheat makers go or what method they use? If cheat makers use Secure Boot then EA have to do the same to respond to all of those reports by you.. So you should be thankful instead.

Most of those complaint makers have got their game up and running with little of community help here and using their brain. I'm pretty sure so can you if you only want to.

Trust me that doesn't make a tent.

Nobody have broken the game, just some players like to moan and are lazy instead of using this time to make their game work again. Secure Boot is standard in current time and everyone need to have it soon anyway.

And who's fault is that if you simply are too lazy to get it sorted?

Come on man.. my little 14 years old nephew were changing his Secure Boot state on it's own just by following YouTube video.
I have dual boot system with linux for work and gpu drivers are not initializing on it with secure boot enabled. I'm not gonna switching secure boot on each os change, this is madness. And I can't tell there is a problem with cheaters in this game - In my entire career on the bf2042, I literally haven't seen a single suspicious moment (I am about S190 rank).
This requirement is the final nail in the game's coffin.
