After the BATTLEFIELD 2042 UPDATE #8.8.0, I cannot start the game due to the error "SecureBoot is not enabled" ... (111). This is not acceptable.I cannot activate SecureBoot because it's not supported. The last time I tried it messed up everything and I had to format and reinstall everything. EA cannot force its users to change their machine settings to play one game.Roll back or refund. The game is broken and not playable.

The decline is due to the recent update #8.8.0 causing error "SecureBoot is not enabled". Which basically requires the users to activate Secure Boot in their BIOS. Not everyone has the know-how to do this kind of actions. Also not all machines support the SecureBoot feature. This is why the number of players dropped drastically. EA needs to rollback or refund this broken product.

I'd rather play against cheaters than mess around with secureboot. I guess this is the end of 2042 for me

As a lot of people, BF2042 will not launch. I get the "Secure boot is not enabled. Learn how to use ...." My secure boot is enabled at bios. So, what is the fix?

Secure Boot is a UEFI security feature that prevents unsigned or malicious software from loading, but EA now require it to run games, forcing players to tinker with BIOS/UEFI settings, risking system stability, and causing unnecessary compatibility issues. It's an unnecessary measure that only makes life harder for honest gamers.
EA must be punished.

Just curious, since you had to reinstall everything already, why didn't you enable Secure Boot before doing that? That is the most onerous procedure for getting secure boot to work but you got no benefit from it!

Same issue Asus Strix Z490-A/i9-10850K.
Everything enabled in BIOS. Windows 10 indicate UEFI is enabled and Secure Boot State is On
Cant play online. Times out. Cant play single player either.
Requesting a refund as everyone should receive. EA made this game un-playable.

This is a very massive potential legal issues as they not only breached contract by breached millions of contracts that every player has agreed to and caging the terms and functionality is out of contract there are very stupid and clearly instead of actually making the report system work they just say **bleep** the fan base and sit here and wonder why there player counts are so low
