"Still cannot play" is not saying much. There can be million different errors why you can't play. Make a screenshot from your error please.

why should players suffer to play BF2042?
my BIOS does not support this setting.
People update motherboard BIOS, go through the settings, sit on forums, lose data, pay money to restore - and all because of a stupid patch for the game?!!!!!!!
disable secure boot setting!!!!!!!!!! - exoduspro3 months agoSeasoned Rookie
Require Secure Boot to be enabled to run your game. This isn't just an inconvenience - it's a blatant violation of user expectations and a completely unreasonable requirement for an entertainment product.
Let's be honest: Secure Boot is designed to provide SYSTEM security at the firmware level, preventing unsigned or malicious software from loading. What does this have to do with running a VIDEO GAME? Absolutely nothing, other than causing unnecessary headaches for your players.
You're apparently expecting us to:
- Find ourselves in the BIOS/UEFI, risking system instability or, worse, accidentally damaging it.
- Disable other security features if they conflict with Secure Boot.
- Spend time troubleshooting potential issues that could arise from this requirement, instead of just enjoying the game.
This requirement is not only unnecessary, but potentially harmful to some users. People using custom builds of Windows, Linux, or even those who simply don't want to mess with low-level system settings for the sake of gaming are at a disadvantage.
This is just disgusting!!!!! - exoduspro3 months agoSeasoned Rookie

DISABLE SECURE BOOT!!!!!!! - SabotageFusion13 months agoRising Newcomer
I needed to disconnect my graphics card and the cpu battery the two times I tried to switch to Secure Boot. I guess I won’t see the same guys I’ve been keeping 2042 alive with the past couple months. Hope those same 15 guys haven’t forgot getting shot out of helicopters and jets

SecureBoot has ruined an otherwise fun to play game. I have logged hundreds of hours on this game until this BS update was rolled out. EA needs to fix this and issue and apologize or I will never buy another EA game or product.
