16:00:Played couple hours ago completly fine.

15:30: Exit BF2042
Browsed YouTube

19:00: Bf2042 Fails to luanch

No, I dont have any 'DiscSoftLTD' software installed.

Apps open: EA, BF2042, NVidia

Security Violation:
This software cannot be used at the same time as the game.
Please make sure it's not running, or restart your PC. (84):

Fixed this by disabling 'DAEMON Tools Lite Virtual SCSI Bus'
Device Manager > Storage controllers > 'DAEMON Tools Lite Virtual SCSI Bus'
No clue how this got here, never installed Disc Soft tools

It seems they updated BF2042 AC with Apex L AC

Okay, for mine I sorted it out. DiscSoft LTD also makes reWASD. I use reWASD for DCS when I fly the Apache using my Xbox controller.
I had to go into the reWASD preference and disable the drivers and do a restart (I also turned off auto start on windows startup), Then the F1 (25) game fired right up. No issues.
This is so stupid and an inconvenience but im happy it works now.

I don't have anything related to "discsoft" on my computer. Still get the same error... ea is lovely aren't they.

They just take our money. Rest is not important to them. Just make a new bs game every 6 months and done.

I had deleted all drivers, deleted the app and anything I could find related to it in the DriverFinder and it still wasn’t working for me.
now going through my apps again and I see reWASD was still in my applications, and it contains an uninstall folder that successfully removed all traces of it from my computer. It’s quite ridiculous, as I only installed this in an attempt to map my Xbox controller for my kids to play a game. Overly frustrating, EA needs to figure out how to make this easier for people to fix.
