Server Admin Abuse

Does EA intervene in server admin abuse situations? I was kicked from a BF2042 server after killing the host, [Edit - EA_Barry], once in a fair dogfight between my night bird and their Apache. This violates the terms of services, specifically the clause

  • Engage or assist in cheating or other anticompetitive behavior (such as boosting, collusion, and match or matchmaking manipulation).

A server host kicking a player for fairly killing them with no disrespectful or hateful behavior (such as tea bagging, I couldn’t even if I wanted to as I was flying a heli), should qualify as anticompetitive behavior. This users privilege to host should be revoked as they have abused their power as a host.

  • Hi @Player_g1gatd4a If you think that whoever is running the server has broken a rule then the best thing to do is to report them through the in-game options or to EA Help (help.ea.com). The information would be passed to EA's Terms of Service team, who would investigate and take whatever action they deem correct (N.B. it may ultimately be that no action is taken).

However, it may be worth bearing in mind that whoever is running the Portal experience can effectively remove anyone, just the same as they could with the old rented serves in past titles, and doing so is not necessarily against the rules.
